2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid in Naples: Electric Drive Without the Plug
If you've been waiting for a Rogue with electric drive that never needs a charger, the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is coming to dealers in fall 2026. Its electric motors do all of the driving while the gas engine makes electricity. In season, when traffic on US-41 and Pine Ridge Road slows down, that engine runs less often than it does at highway speed.
What Kind of Hybrid Is the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
It's the first Nissan sold in the U.S. with e-POWER, a system that works differently from most hybrids. They can drive the wheels with the gas engine, the electric motor, or both, depending on speed and load.
In the Rogue Hybrid, only the electric motors drive the wheels. A 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder runs a generator that charges the battery, and the battery powers one motor on each axle. There's no transmission, since the motors don't need one.

What Is the 2027 Rogue Hybrid Like to Drive Around Naples?
Smooth and quiet, especially at lower speeds. Electric motors make full torque from a stop, and there's no transmission to shift, so the Rogue Hybrid pulls away cleanly from every light. Combined output is 225 horsepower, and the front motor alone makes more torque than the gas engine does.
With one motor on each axle, every Rogue Hybrid has all-wheel drive. The system keeps adjusting how much power goes to the front and rear as you drive.
The gas engine only runs to make electricity, and it shuts off once the battery has enough charge. At lower speeds the motors draw less power, so the engine runs less often. At highway speed, it runs more often to keep the battery charged.
What Is One-Pedal Driving on the 2027 Rogue Hybrid?
It means you can slow down and stop using just the accelerator, and Nissan's version is called e-Pedal. When you lift off the accelerator, the electric motors slow the car and send energy back to the battery, and they can bring you all the way to a stop. Smooth Stop eases brake pressure right at the end of each stop, so you and your passengers feel less of a lurch forward. Once you're stopped, the hydraulic brakes hold the car in place automatically.
Do You Have to Plug In the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
No. There's no charging port. The battery charges from the generator and from braking. You fill up with regular unleaded, the same as any gas car, and the tank holds 14 gallons.
If you split the year between Naples and another home, there's no charger to install at either one and no charging to plan around.
Fuel economy Nissan's estimates for the SR are 40 mpg city, 36 highway, and 38 combined, from its own testing. The SV and Platinum don't have estimates yet, and none of the figures are EPA-certified. We'll update this post when EPA ratings come out.
When Can You Buy the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid in Naples?
The SR with the SR Technology Package comes first, reaching dealers in fall 2026 at $41,490 MSRP. The SV, SR, and Platinum follow in early 2027, starting at $35,490 MSRP for the SV.
The SV comes with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate. The SR has a sportier look, with 19-inch wheels and gloss black trim. With the SR Technology Package, you also get Hands-off Traffic Jam Support, the 14.3-inch screens with Google built-in, a 3D camera system for parking, and a heated steering wheel. The Platinum includes those features, and it's the only grade with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and Bose audio.
Every Rogue Hybrid comes standard with dual-motor all-wheel drive, e-Pedal, ProPILOT Assist, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot intervention. ProPILOT Assist keeps a set distance from the car ahead and helps keep you centered in your lane, and this version spots slowing traffic sooner than the one in the 2026 Rogue. It also comes with Rear Cross Traffic Alert for backing out of parking spaces and Lead Car Departure Notification, which alerts you when the car ahead moves off at a green light.
